Job description

Description

Are you a driven sales professional ready to launch your career in business purpose lending? At Lima One Capital, we believe some of the best originators are built, not just hired. The Regional Loan Officer, Business Development role is your structured entry point into the world of real estate investment lending designed to develop high-performing salespeople into confident, knowledgeable loan originators across our full product suite of Fix and Flip Loans, New Construction Loans, and Rental Property Loans.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced originators, learning Lima One's products, processes, and market inside and out, while beginning to build your own book of business. If you're competitive, coachable, and hungry to grow, this is the role for you.

This is an in-office, open to applicants located in the Charlotte, NC area.

What We'll Provide

  • Structured Training Path: A dedicated onboarding and mentorship program, giving you hands-on exposure to deal structuring, client management, and the full Lima One origination process - setting you up to graduate into a Regional Loan Officer.
  • Diverse Portfolio: From $30MM guidance lines to $15MM projects and competitive pricing across Fix-and-Flip, New Construction, and Rental loans, you will have the tools to serve clients and dominate the market.
  • Excellent Training: An engaged Learning & Development team with a dedicated Sales Training Specialist offering hands-on support as you ramp up and learn our products.
  • Customer Experience: From first call to final payoff. We are a vertically integrated lending process. Your borrowers will experience in-house sales consultants, white glove underwriting, appraisal management, servicing, and construction draws - making relationship selling easy.
  • Innovation: With tools like Salesforce, Gong, Forecasa, and our Retail Portal, our technology is constantly evolving to help you close more deals. Combine that with state-of-the-art lead generation tools and you'll have everything you need to own your pipeline and drive results.

What You'll Do

  • Support Production: Partner closely with experienced originators, supporting their pipeline, setting meetings, sitting in on client calls, and learning deal structuring, product positioning, and relationship management firsthand.
  • Begin Building Your Own Pipeline: Prospect for new business opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and referral development.
  • Manage Relationships: Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring a high-touch experience from initial inquiry through loan closing.
  • Learn the Full Loan Process: Gain exposure to the end-to-end loan lifecycle - from initial outreach and deal analysis to underwriting, approval, and closing so you're prepared to independently manage deals as you grow into a full originator role.
  • Build Your Community Presence: Establish yourself in the real estate investor community by attending industry events and building referral partnerships with brokers, investors, and industry professionals.
  • Consult and Educate: Develop a strong understanding of the Lima One value proposition and educate prospective borrowers on our product suite, helping them understand how we can help them grow their real estate investment business.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales, sales development, and/or lead generation experience
  • Demonstrated track record of prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with investors and business partners
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Coachable mindset with a drive for continuous learning and career growth
  • Interest in real estate investment and private lending
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus
  • Willingness to obtain an NMLS license within 90 days of hire
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
