Position Summary

The Director of Training is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that drive performance across the organization. This role plays a critical part in elevating sales effectiveness, operational consistency, and customer experience within our senior living communities.

The Director of Training will lead all aspects of training strategy, with a strong focus on Yardi CRM expertise, as well as sales excellence, including outreach, objection handling, and tour execution. This individual will create scalable onboarding programs and ongoing learning initiatives tailored to both corporate teams and community-level staff.

Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Development
  • Design and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with company goals and growth initiatives
  • Develop structured onboarding programs for new hires across sales and operations
  • Create ongoing training modules focused on continuous improvement and skill development
  • Build community‑specific training programs to address unique market needs and performance gaps
  • Establish training standards, tools, and resources to ensure consistency across all communities
Yardi CRM Training & Expertise
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Yardi CRM
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure effective use of Yardi across all communities
  • Partner with operations and sales leadership to drive CRM adoption, accuracy, and performance
  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and reporting within Yardi
  • Provide hands‑on coaching and troubleshooting support related to CRM usage
Sales & Performance Training
  • Develop and deliver training on:
  • Outreach strategies and lead generation
  • Overcoming objection
  • Conducting impactful tours
  • Converting prospects to move‑ins
  • Value Selling
  • Coach teams on best practices in relationship building and sales execution
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability and performance excellence
Facilitation & Delivery
  • Deliver engaging, high‑impact training sessions both in‑person and virtually
  • Travel as needed to communities for hands‑on training and support
  • Facilitate workshops, role‑playing sessions, and interactive learning experiences
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Marketing leaders to align training with business priorities
  • Analyze performance data to identify training needs and measure effectiveness
  • Continuously refine training programs based on feedback, results, and industry trends
Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or sales leadership (senior living experience strongly preferred)
  • Advanced expertise in Yardi CRM (required)
  • Proven experience developing and delivering training programs from the ground up
  • Strong background in sales training, including objection handling, tours, and closing techniques
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
