Description

Review, evaluate, and enhance the existing Business Development Representative training program, curriculum, and training materials.
Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training programs for Business Development Representatives.
Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Electronic Learning System (ELS), including training content, courses, assessments, and learning paths.
Identify knowledge and performance gaps through employee feedback, performance data, assessments, and collaboration with Business Development leadership.
Design engaging instructor-led, virtual, and electronic learning programs that support product knowledge, sales skills, systems training, compliance, and professional development.
Develop and enhance training materials, presentations, guides, assessments, exercises, job aids, and other learning resources.
Partner with Business Development leadership to ensure training programs effectively prepare representatives to engage mortgage brokers, promote Champions Funding's Non-QM products, and generate quality loan submission opportunities.
Establish structured training programs for new hires and ongoing development initiatives for existing Business Development Representatives.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, performance metrics, feedback, and business results, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
Train and coach Business Development Representatives on product knowledge, sales processes, communication techniques, objection handling, prospecting, and broker engagement.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and department leaders to ensure training content remains accurate, current, and aligned with company policies, procedures, products, and systems.
Develop standardized training documentation and processes to ensure consistency across Business Development Representative training classes and locations.
Maintain and update training content as products, systems, processes, policies, and business objectives evolve.
Establish learning objectives, training standards, and measurable performance expectations for Business Development Representative development.
Monitor new hire progression and identify opportunities for additional coaching, reinforcement, and targeted development.
Support leadership with recommendations for career development, continuing education, and employee performance improvement initiatives.
Stay current with emerging learning technologies, instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and sales training best practices.
Maintain thorough documentation of training programs, course materials, learning objectives, assessments, and program outcomes.
Support additional learning and development initiatives across the organization as needed.ย 

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required ย 
5+ years of combined experience in learning and development, wholesale mortgage lending, corporate training, sales training, instructional design, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and managing employee training programs, preferably within a sales or business development environment.
Experience designing, enhancing, and maintaining electronic learning programs and Learning Management Systems or Electronic Learning Systems.
Experience reviewing an existing training curriculum and identifying opportunities to improve, expand, and modernize the program.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and effective training practices.
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging training materials, presentations, assessments, exercises, and electronic learning content.
Experience training sales or business development teams on prospecting, communication, objection handling, sales processes, and performance expectations preferred.
Mortgage lending, financial services, wholesale lending, or Non-QM mortgage experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of training measurement, performance metrics, knowledge assessments, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage employees at varying levels of experience.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives, deadlines, and priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with electronic learning, Learning Management Systems, or other training technologies.
Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, Business Development leadership, Talent Acquisition, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to evaluate business needs and translate them into practical, measurable, and scalable training solutions.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, develop, and hold training participants accountable to established performance standards. ย
