SkillBridge Internship Summary
As a Project Manager (Business Development) SkillBridge Intern, you will learn how commercial construction opportunities are identified, developed, and converted into successful projects. Working closely with sales, estimating, and operations teams, you will gain experience in customer engagement, project planning, proposal development, opportunity tracking, and business growth initiatives.
This internship is designed to help transitioning Service Members leverage their military leadership, communication, planning, and relationship-building skills in a customer-focused business environment.
Internship Responsibilities
During the internship, participants will receive training and practical experience in:
  • Reviewing and qualifying business development leads and opportunities
  • Supporting customer outreach and relationship-building activities
  • Assisting with scheduling meetings and site visits with prospective customers
  • Learning how customer requirements are evaluated and translated into project solutions
  • Assisting with proposal development and presentation preparation
  • Supporting project planning and coordination activities
  • Maintaining customer communications through phone, email, and CRM systems
  • Tracking opportunities, customer interactions, and project progress
  • Preparing reports and updates for management review
  • Collaborating with estimating, technical, and operations teams to support business growth initiatives
  • Developing an understanding of commercial roofing systems and construction services
