Senior Program Manager BGS-G New Product Development

The BGS-G Growth Marketing and Product Development team focuses on developing capabilities that meet our customers' needs today and anticipate the operational challenges of tomorrow. BGS-G is seeking an experienced, mission-focused Senior Program Manager to lead New Product Development across the Growth organization.
This position can be located in Berkely, MO.,(primary) Hazelwood, MO., Arlington, VA., Dallas, TX., Jacksonville, FL., Long Beach, CA., Mesa, AZ., Philadelphia, PA., San Antonio, TX., Seattle, WA.
This Senior Program Manager will operationalize a strategic growth pipeline, set portfolio priorities aligned to defense budgets, gate strategic growth packages, institutionalize proven capabilities, formalize teaming frameworks, and integrate digital capabilities into domestic and international captures. The role requires a results-oriented, cross-functional program manager who can translate strategy into funded opportunities and transition pilots/demos into fielded capabilities at scale.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Own the BGS-G Growth New Product Development pipeline: establish and run a gated Strategic Growth process that prioritizes concepts, recommends invest/stop decisions, and ensures disciplined portfolio advancement tied to defense priorities and budget cycles
  • Translate mission impact into investment cases: use defensible ROI/readiness criteria to prioritize capabilities and allocate resources for highest operational and budget alignment
  • Prove and de-risk solutions: design and manage pilots/demos that validate operational utility, quantify ROI, and produce capture-ready requirements and adoption evidence
  • Ready offerings for fielding and capture: drive end-to-end GTM launch activities-product positioning, launch playbooks, training/sustainment plans, and handovers-while formalizing partner frameworks
  • Integrate across the enterprise: remove execution blockers and ensure compliant handoffs among BD/capture, contracts, engineering, finance, export, and delivery; provide executive decision packages and metrics to secure investments and accelerate fielding.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Degree-trained and experienced leader: bachelor's degree in a technical or business field
  • 8 + years senior-level experience driving product, capture, or program outcomes in aerospace, defense, government services, or similar sectors
  • Cross-functional execution and go-to-market (GTM) expertise: proven track record converting concepts into funded opportunities and leading go-to-market (GTM) launches for technical offerings
  • Decision and governance operator: skilled at implementing gated decision processes and preparing executive-ready business cases and decision packages
  • Influential communicator and stakeholder manager: excels at engaging senior leaders and coordinating matrixed teams to align priorities and resolve barriers
  • Program manager: comfortable managing multiple concurrent priorities in complex organizations
  • Approximately 25% travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Advanced credentials: MBA or other advanced technical/management degree that complements business and technical judgment
  • Certified delivery leader: recognized program/capture certifications or equivalent demonstrated experience in program and capture management
  • Technical domain familiarity: hands-on knowledge of digital analytics, sustainment modeling/simulation, UAS/inspection, support equipment and/or additive manufacturing capture work
  • Partnering and small-business commercialization: experience structuring teaming agreements, MOUs, small business partnerships and transitioning partners into contract-ready relationships
  • Compliance and government market success: practical familiarity with export control and U.S. government contracting rules, plus proven track record launching solutions and winning initial government contracts
