Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of 18 students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs, along side 2 teaching assistants.  Position start date would be Monday, August 17, 2026.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment. 

Responsibilities
  • Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
  • Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel
  • Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
  • Ensure all center policies, Head Start Standards, and state regulations are met.
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and state teaching early childhood certification (Associate Degree in Early Childhood would be considered)
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Problem-solving and mediation skills
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
