Teacher Wesley Chapel, FL

Kids 'R' Kids of Wesley Chapel is looking for pre-school and school-age teachers. Our school has several positions available for new and beginning childcare teachers. Experience at a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required. We will train the right person!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan and follow Kids R Kids Learning Academy's curriculum to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child.
  • Ensure that routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with the development of each child. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping  and transitioning between activities.
  • Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, and proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Operate the classroom in compliance with all child care licensing standards, and Kids R Kids Learning Academy's policies and procedures.
  • Create an environment that is warm, friendly and inviting where children and their families feel welcomed, comfortable and safe.
  • Ensure that parents receive adequate information about their child's experiences at the academy through daily electronic and personal contact.
  • Provide experiences that help promote individual growth through play, conversations, and creativity.
  • Maintain written records on each individual child.
  • Greet infants/toddlers and their parents warmly and with enthusiasm each day.
  • Work as a member of a team to ensure a high standard of quality in the classroom and academy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have a warm, supportive, and patient attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in program.
  • Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
  • Must be comfortable speaking with family members and co-teachers.
  • Early childhood education degree and/or CDA credential a plus.
