Job description

Brighter Days Academy is currently seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic Part-Time VPK Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Miami Gardens, Florida. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young children learn and grow in a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate VPK lessons and activities aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards.
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom.
  • Monitor and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, safety, and VPK program requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall success of the program.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Credential) is required.
  • Completion of all required VPK training/classes is required.
  • Previous experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass all required background screening and state requirements.
