A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT TWO'S TEACHER
As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you provide critical classroom support for our teachers as they lead classes of toddlers. You are a kind and playful person who can keep up with the energy and big personalities of our little kids. For every class, you assist the lead teacher with writing an age-appropriate curriculum that keeps the kids engaged and learning. You prepare materials for lesson plans and activities beforehand, and you help keep the children on-task and on the classroom schedule.
Patiently, you assist the children with daily activities like hand washing, dressing, potty training, and diaper changing. You prepare snacks and lunches for the kids, strictly following all dietary restrictions. After every class, you help clean the room and sanitize all toys and commonly touched surfaces. You keep daily records for each child, and you meet with their parents to talk with them about the day. You feel great about being a positive presence who helps children have fun and learn at the same time!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT TWO'S TEACHER
  • 1+ years of child development experience in a preschool, kindergarten, or licensed daycare
  • 3 written references
  • CPR/first aid certification or willingness to obtain

  • Food handler certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent
