The Professional Learning Solutions Director drives the strategic design and execution of professional learning initiatives across a designated region, content area, or strategic account, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budget parameters, and targeted market outcomes. This role encompasses leadership and team management responsibilities, including setting strategic goals, guiding staff toward high performance, and ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives. The Director is also responsible for employee development by selecting, managing, and cultivating a high-performing, knowledgeable, and motivated team. Strategy and implementation are central to the role, with oversight of professional learning delivery to ensure quality and efficacy, execution of learning plans aligned with customer goals, and responsiveness to feedback to drive continuous improvement and satisfaction. Additionally, the Director manages the financial aspects of professional learning programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and monitoring revenue streams to maintain alignment with organizational priorities.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position reporting to the Director of Professional Learning Delivery.

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $95,133 and $102,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.

Travel: You can expect up to approximately 25% travel during the off-season, increasing to 40-60% during peak season (typically 2-3 nights per week). For major events (such as Philadelphia), travel may increase to 4-5 days per week. Be sure you have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Select, manage, and optimize use of full-time and part-time staff to build a high-performing team
  • Collaborate with Director of Professional Learning Delivery to align team strategies with overall professional learning objectives and organizational goals.
  • Plan, recommend, and oversee delivery schedules to ensure high-quality, relevant sessions
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the applicable professional learning content area; identify cost-saving measures while maintaining service quality.
  • Utilize Professional Learning & Development resources for training, certification, and coaching to support team growth and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate territory assignments and training delivery schedules to achieve revenue targets and optimize costs, ensuring that adequate staff are certified in given solutions.
  • Analyze data (including Salesforce and performance metrics) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success to plan, manage, and implement professional learning initiatives for new and current customers.
  • Ensure adherence to established communication protocols for consistency and professionalism.
  • Facilitate creation and implementation of professional learning plans.
  • Lead the team by sharing knowledge, strategies, and best practices for implementing solutions, ensuring that team members are well-versed in the latest approaches and methodologies
  • Hold certification in at least one product area and deliver sessions as needed.
  • Stay current with trends and research in applicable content solutions and subject areas, applying insights strategically.
  • Maintain the ability and availability to work flexible hours and travel, including overnight and driving and maintaining a valid Motor Vehicle Driver License in state of residence and an acceptable driving record.

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics, or Science is required; and at least 7 years of educational experience including at least 5 years teaching Mathematics and at least 3 years in leadership roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience with problem-based learning as a key instructional approach in Math education is required for content area-based roles.
  • Skilled in instructional coaching, team leadership, and influencing educational stakeholders
  • At least three years of experience leading high performing teams
  • Proven success delivering high-quality professional learning related to applicable subject and content area(s) as well as curriculum implementation.
  • Strong understanding of effective technology integration to support instruction and learning across diverse content areas.
  • Familiarity with current best practices in education pedagogy and curriculum adoption processes.
  • Experience working with school districts and educational stakeholders to drive implementation results.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a collaborative, high-performing, results-driven team.
  • Background in collaborating with sales teams and supporting revenue-generating activities preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel up to 60% (overnight travel expected)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, and cloud-based technologies
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and CRM systems (preferred)
  • Ability to provide current Fingerprint Clearance Card or proof of application within 7 days
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.
