Job description

Overview
Scope of Position: Provides oversight to the design and delivery of WinShape Foundation-sponsored development programs to cultivate holistic, personal development in people leaders and Staff across the Foundation, with a particular focus on leadership development. Supports the design and delivery of area-specific curriculum initiatives within the WSF Ministries alongside key leaders and cross-functional partners.

We do this through five core ministries that each use scriptural truth to offer summer camp, foster care, team and leader development, college student discipleship, and marriage enrichment. Responsibilities
  • Performs need assessments, develops content, designs, delivers, and evaluates processes (to include a balance of in-person, instructor-led, virtual, and on-demand development resources) to cultivate servant leadership, character, and foster leadership practices. Integrates and aligns design and service delivery with Talent Experience programs when applicable. The incumbent will serve primarily on-site in Rome, but also on the Atlanta campus for collaboration, delivery, and engagement.
  • Facilitate training and serve as a lead to other instructors. Identifies, assesses, and collaborates with internal subject-matter experts to lead the creation and delivery of training content. Leverages external partners to provide content and deliver development experiences when necessary. Supports organizational employee development initiatives, such as Emerging Leaders, leadership forums, and area-specific development.
  • Works alongside WSF Ministry / Support Service leaders and development-focused positions to support the design and delivery of area-specific development programs. Design ad-hoc curriculum where necessary to support the specific development needs within the Ministries and other Support Services on an as-needed basis. Collaborate with others to evaluate and utilize the organization-wide learning management system (WinShape U) and partner with Talent Experience to integrate with HRIS when applicable.
  • Pursue, select, and oversee the administration of individual assessments applicable to development outcomes using a variety of tools/methodologies (DiSC, IPSAT, StrengthsFinder, etc.). Mentors and coaches leaders to clarify expectations, accelerate application, and influence development outcomes where needed. Serves as the lead "Train the Trainer" for adopted programs.
  • Possess necessary certifications and credentials required for Learning and Development professionals and pursue continuing education as an internal subject matter expert. Contributes to the cohesion of L&D team members supporting overlapping projects and cross-functional pursuits with external partners. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in training and development, adult learning, and/or curriculum creation and delivery roles required.
  • 5+ years of experience in content design, instruction, and working cross-functionally.
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • 7+ years of experience serving in a faith-based organization or substantial ministerial involvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, required, or equivalent studies.
  • Master's degree in Learning & Development, Organization Development, Organizational Leadership/Management, Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Spiritual Formation/Theology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • A self-professing Christ follower who is actively involved in a Christian faith community
  • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain high-value consultative and/or collaborative relationships with both internal and external leaders, stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in project management, using supportive tools, and adopting project management platforms.
  • Adept in MS Office product suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proficient in fostering productivity (workflow system) in direct reports and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to solve problems independently and work autonomously on projects/assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the Rome Retreat, and less than 150 miles from the Atlanta Support Center.
  • Attend WinShape Foundation gatherings and events, including but not limited to the ONE Conference, Fall Rally, town halls, and other meetings as communicated by the leadership team.
  • Some travel may be required
