Luther Manor is seeking a Training and Development Educator

The Training & Development Educatoris responsible forthe development, coordination, delivery, and evaluationof clinical education and professional development for nursing staff across the Life Plan Community continuum,including skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and other residential care settings. This position ensures clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practice while supporting safe, high-quality, resident-centered care.

The Educator serves as a clinical leader, resource, mentor, and change agent, supporting onboarding, ongoing education, competency validation, quality improvement initiatives, and professional growth of nursing staff in alignment with Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act standards and applicable DHS regulations

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborates with relevant partners at all levels to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive education programs for team members aligned with current evidence-based practice and organizational standards.
  • Supports orientation/onboarding initiatives through development of resources, maintaining effective communication around process, and providing touchpoints with new hires and their trainers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational competency validation processes for team members, including but not limited to annual skills assessments and task-specific competencies.
  • Assess learning needs, identify gaps in practice, and implement targeted education plans to address performance or quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership, quality, and infection prevention teams to support quality improvement initiatives, risk reduction, and resident safety programs.
  • Conducts regular employee audits and reports data for QAA.
  • Conductsfollow-upstudiesofallcompletedtrainingtoevaluateandmeasureresults.
  • Participate in root cause analyses, audits, and performance improvement projects, using education as a key intervention to improve outcomes.
  • Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for nursing staff, supporting professional growth, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Obtainsand/ordevelopseffectivetrainingmaterialsutilizingavarietyofmediaandcompany's computer-based learningportal, ReliasLMS.
  • Modifiesprogramsasneededtoensuretheyarealignedwiththeorganization'sstrategicgoals.
  • Works with Training and Development Manager and Human Resources to understand current business needs and propose training solutions.
  • WorkseffectivelyasateammemberwithothermembersoftheTrainingandDevelopmentteamandthe HR staff.
