We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Configurator to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key representative for cross-team initiatives, providing expertise, direction, and connections to ensure successful project outcomes. You will partner with other functional product configurators on strategic product initiatives, promoting consistency in configuration and building new functionality. Experience supporting and configuringWorkday Learningis highly valued, particularly in driving adoption, aligning learning solutions with business needs, and enhancing the employee experience.
What you will do:
  • Represent cross-team initiatives outside your functional domain, providing expertise and direction.
  • Collaborate with other product configurators on strategic initiatives.
  • Promote consistency in configuration and functionality development.
  • Develop a broad understanding of critical projects and initiatives in your functional area for upcoming releases.
  • Review proposed feature specifications and provide guidance on design decisions.
  • Identify touchpoints across product areas and features to enable greater alignment, collaboration, and scalability.
  • Create scalable designs that meet both short and long-term stakeholder needs.
  • Assist in scoping and sizing discussions with a focus on cross-team impacts and strategic stakeholder requirements.
  • Work with Product Owners/Leads to analyze stakeholder feedback and usage data to make design and prioritization recommendations.
  • Conduct research to understand stakeholder questions and related Workday concepts, including learning and talent development processes.
  • Deliver small scope consulting in response to stakeholder requests, providing configuration guidance, demonstrations, and tips across Workday product areas, including Workday Learning.
  • Troubleshoot product configuration to resolve or optimize configurations to meet stakeholder business requirements.
  • Communicate responses and value to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Create and deliver stakeholder presentations on using Workday features to achieve business goals, including learning-related capabilities and adoption strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one consulting guidance to accelerate stakeholder feature adoption.
  • Review Workday tenants to identify adoption opportunities and stay familiar with the Workday roadmap, including enhancements related to Workday Learning.
  • Help drive the creation of new programs to enhance stakeholder feature adoption, including learning functionality that supports employee development and compliance needs.
  • Conduct appointment-based consulting engagements during Office Hours, providing guidance and product expertise.
  • Perform configuration and business requirements reviews with detailed deliverables highlighting optimization opportunities.
  • Support configuration and optimization of Workday Learning features such as learning assignments, campaigns, course enrollment settings, and learner experience improvements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align learning configuration with broader HCM, talent, and employee development objectives.
What you will bring:
  • 5+ years of experience with HCM systems, Workday preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise processes and enabling systems.
  • Proven track record of defining business problems, researching user needs, prototyping and testing new solutions, collaborating with project teams, and participating in the Agile process.
  • Collaborative style that enables successful completion of complex product roadmaps across teams.
  • Excellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skills, comfortable delivering content to both developer and business leader audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at exploring and researching ambiguous problem spaces and using data to build actionable work units.
  • Self-directed with the ability to proactively identify needs and make valuable contributions.
  • Mastery of one or more Workday product areas, with experience inWorkday Learningstrongly preferred.
  • Strong functional and technical understanding of the Workday architecture, including Business Process Framework, Security, user interface, reporting, and learning-related configuration.
  • Experience conducting research to understand stakeholder questions and related Workday concepts, including learning administration and user adoption.
  • Ability to deliver content in response to stakeholder requests, providing configuration guidance, demonstrations, and tips, including for Workday Learning capabilities.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting product configuration to resolve or optimize configurations to meet stakeholder business requirements.
  • Experience creating and delivering stakeholder presentations on using Workday features to achieve business goals, including employee learning and development outcomes.
  • Experience supporting or configuring Workday Learning, including learning assignments, course setup, learner groups, and adoption of learning functionality, preferred.
