About This Role:

This is a hybrid role working from home for the majority of the time and onsite at our Ottawa Home Office, stores, and Johnstown Distribution Centre as needed to lead in-person training programs.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create and continuously improve learning content, assessments, and facilitator materials that support company strategy and build employee capability and improve role effectiveness.

  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences that build capability, strengthen role readiness, and support adoption of business priorities.

  • Conduct learning and talent development consultation and needs analysis to identify capability gaps and recommend learning approaches that support business objectives and learner needs, while coordinating assigned projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.

  • Create and maintain onboarding resources, career development tools, competency-based resources, and manager guides that support new hire integration, role clarity, development planning, performance conversations, and internal mobility.

  • Implement learning technologies, digital learning solutions, and AI-enabled tools and make recommendations that enhance learner experience, expand access to development opportunities, and support continuous improvement.

  • Analyze learner feedback for training sessions to inform improvements and provide recommendations.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Learning & Talent Development.

  • Post-secondary education in Education, Adult Education, Educational Studies, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.

  • As this role supports employees, leaders, and business partners across Canada, professional-level proficiency in both English and French is essential to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences and communications in both official languages.

  • Experience creating, updating, and implementing learning content, tools, job aids, facilitator materials, eLearning, assessments, learner communications, and performance support resources.

  • Experience supporting assigned learning programs or projects, including SME reviews, content testing, learner communications, launch readiness, and post-launch improvements.

  • Experience gathering learning needs and content requirements from internal stakeholders, SMEs, or business partners to support effective learning solutions.

  • Experience facilitating training sessions, learner support activities, stakeholder reviews, or program activities for employees, people leaders, or business groups.

  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles, learner experience, instructional design practices, and learning evaluation basics.

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to organize work, solve problems, manage assigned deliverables, and meet timelines across multiple learning projects with varying levels of complexity.

  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and experience using or learning content tools, learning platforms, reporting tools, and AI-enabled tools.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail, maintain content accuracy, follow Learning & Talent Development standards, and handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

Assets You May Have

  • Experience supporting retail operations.

  • Knowledge of Workday Learning, Articulate 360, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar learning platforms and content tools.

  • Experience using learner feedback, completion data, survey results, or basic reporting insights to identify improvements to learning content, delivery, or learner experience.

  • Experience working with external training vendors to review content, test deliverables, provide feedback, or support implementation.

  • Adult learning, instructional design, facilitation, coaching, change management, project management, or leadership development certification.

  • Experience creating learning, communications, or enablement materials using generative AI tools.

  • Knowledge of accessibility, inclusive learning design, plain language writing, or digital content usability.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal: to Home Office, Distribution Centres, and stores several times throughout the year.

$58,400.00 - $87,600.00
