The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of National Indemnity Company's Windows-based Server and Middleware application environment. Initiate projects and prepare project plans.

This position will be with National Indemnity Company located in Omaha, NE with a hybrid work environment requiring 50% in-office. #LI-KC1 / #LI-Hybrid

What will you do?

  • Act as systems engineer for Windows-based servers and Middleware applications.

  • Install, and administer operating systems and Middleware software to provide needed capabilities for the user environment.

  • Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within Middleware systems, determine the need, and work to resolve the issue.

  • Provide technical instructions and training to other support staff and provide leadership and mentoring when necessary.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems during working hours and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years related work experience

  • Experience with Windows Server OS Administration

  • Experience with enterprise software installation and administration

  • Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software
