Welty Energy & Infrastructure (WE&I) is looking for an Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team!

Who is Welty Energy & Infrastructure (WE&I)?

WE&I, an affiliate of Welty Enterprises, is a professional services company specializing in program and project management, transmission line engineering, distribution engineering, substation engineering and construction oversight on transmission, substation and distribution projects ranging in voltages from 4kV to 765kV.

Headquartered in Akron, OH, and working nationally, WE&I currently manages approximately $500 million in construction projects for electric utilities in the Eastern PA regions of the U.S.


Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and people-focused HR Generalist to support a rapidly growing organization. This role is critical in delivering day-to-day HR support while helping create a seamless and engaging employee experience for both new and tenured team members.

The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and leaders, supporting core HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding. Additionally, this role will play an important part in advancing our learning and development initiatives, ensuring new hires and current team members have access to effective training and growth opportunities.

This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and brings a strong sense of ownership, service, and attention to detail.


The HR Generalist is required to be based in or local to Fairlawn, OH with an expectation to be five days in-person.


As an HR Generalist, you may:

Employee Experience & HR Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for team-member questions related to HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Provide timely and accurate support on benefits, payroll coordination, and general HR inquiries
  • Partner with leaders to support employee engagement, communication, and team effectiveness
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing a positive, inclusive workplace culture

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience for new hires to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition
  • Coordinate pre-boarding logistics, orientation sessions, and new hire documentation
  • Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews, documentation, and system updates
  • Identify trends and insights from onboarding/offboarding feedback to improve processes

Benefits Administration

  • Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions
  • Partner with brokers/vendors to ensure accurate and timely administration
  • Assist with open enrollment planning and communication
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance

Learning & Development

  • Support the coordination and administration of training programs, including new hire training
  • Maintain and update training materials, schedules, and tracking systems
  • Partner with leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for development
  • Assist in building scalable learning programs aligned with organizational growth

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
  • Support reporting and tracking of key HR metrics
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvements

Administrative Support for Leadership

  • Provide general administrative support to leadership team members as needed
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of materials
  • Support execution of team initiatives, communications, and organizational projects


What We Require:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of HR generalist or related experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferably ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite
