Job description

Job title :         Manufacturing Assembly Engineer

Client :             Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration :        24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)

Location :        Waterloo, IA 50701

Shift :               1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM); must be open to short-term 3rd Shift (2–3 months).    Overtime possible.

Description:

  • Support manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues.
  • Improve quality, safety, and ergonomics.
  • Develop tooling, layouts, and work methods.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Improve material flow and production efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement projects.
  • Create manufacturing documentation.
  • Use CAD and engineering software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support equipment and facility improvements.
  • Spend ~50% of time on the shop floor.
  • May operate a Gator after training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of tooling and quality systems.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) knowledge.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
