Developing standard work, performing time studies, leading continuous improvement projects that result in measurable cost savings while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met or exceeded. Other duties include:

  • Process Optimization: Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
    • Work closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure sustainable solutions.
  • Waste Reduction: Lead efforts to eliminate waste (Muda) in all its forms, such as overproduction, waiting, and excess inventory, using Lean principles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen) through projects, workshops, and training on Lean tools.
  • Lean Tool Implementation: Deploy and train others on specific Lean techniques, including 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, standard work, visual management, and Set Up Reduction (SMED).
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and statistical information to identify opportunities for improvement and justify changes.
  • Ergonomics & Safety: Conduct ergonomic analyses and develop corrective actions to improve worker safety and performance.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain standard work documentation and process maps.
  • Stay Current with Advancements: Continuously research and learn about new AI tools, techniques, and frameworks to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Cost Savings: Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, waste reduction, and resource optimization.
    • Monitor and report annual cost savings
  • Cycle time: Analyze production and operational data to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste drivers.
  • Standardize: Standardize best practices and ensure consistent application across all operations.

To be a qualified candidate, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in AI, continuous improvement, process engineering, or operations (manufacturing/production environment preferred).
