  • Hit the pavement: Accompany team members on face‑to‑face calls to close deals and build lasting relationships with local business leaders.
  • Master the data: Utilize audience measurement tools to develop killer marketing strategies and provide accurate, timely forecasts that keep the station on track.
  • Collaborate and win: Partner with other departments to ensure our clients’ goals are met, and our station strategy is firing on all cylinders.
  • Build the future: Recruit top‑tier talent to join our team and help shape the future of media in our community.
  • Lead a high‑energy sales culture, own the revenue, coach for growth, connect with clients, and drive strategy.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Proven leadership: You’ve successfully held an LMS, DSM, or GSM role and have at least two years of sales leadership under your belt.
  • Revenue growth mindset: A track record of sustained revenue growth across both broadcast and digital platforms—you know how to move the needle.
  • Strategic thinking: You understand the media industry's history and, more importantly, where it’s going next.
  • Digital fluency: You’re comfortable navigating digital platforms and can explain their value to clients with ease.
  • Killer communication: Whether it’s a one‑on‑one coaching session or a high‑stakes group presentation, you speak and write with clarity and impact.
  • Negotiation chops: You know how to overcome objections with a positive, professional attitude and close the deal.
  • Operational discipline: You have a sharp eye for detail (especially when it comes to the numbers) and can manage multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
  • Technical proficiency: You’re a pro with MS Office and CRM systems; experience with Wide Orbit and Matrix is a huge plus!
  • The essentials: A bachelor’s degree in media or a related field (or equivalent experience) and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Previous Sales Manager experience.
  • Driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Matrix (a plus).
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Real impact: You aren’t just hitting numbers; you’re helping local businesses grow and thrive in our community.
  • Innovation first: Gray Media is evolving on purpose—you’ll have the tools and the freedom to lead a digital‑first revenue strategy.
  • Collaborative culture: Work with a team that values scrappiness, urgency, and supporting one another to win.
