Job description

Job Description:
Title: Lead Strategist
Team: Phreesia Network Solutions
Location: Remote - U.S. or Canada (ET/CT regions)
Why This Role Exists
Over 180 million times each year, Phreesia has the opportunity to connect with patients at a pivotal moment-just before they meet their healthcare teams. These interactions help patients better understand their conditions, explore treatment options, and make more informed about healthcare decisions.
As a key member of the Network Solutions team, the Lead Strategist will shape patient engagement strategy across the Phreesia platform while building meaningful partnerships with small and mid-size life sciences clients.
This role blends strategic consulting, thought leadership, research, and innovation to develop impactful patient engagement programs, optimize campaigns, and help define the future of Phreesia's patient-facing platform. You'll collaborate across Research, Client Experience, Client Solutions, Insights & Analytics, Product, and User Experience to create solutions that improve patient outcomes while driving long-term client growth.
What You'll Spend Your Time Doing
  • Build strategic client partnerships. Develop and strengthen relationships with Established-vertical pharmaceutical partners, serving as a trusted strategic advisor on patient engagement, education, and behavior change initiatives.

  • Drive long-term account strategy. Create and execute multi-year strategic plans that support client objectives, business growth, and lasting partnerships.

  • Champion patient engagement thought leadership. Develop informed perspectives on how patients should be engaged at the point of care, while identifying opportunities to advance industry's best practices.

  • Turn insights into action. Analyze campaign performance, ask thoughtful questions, and develop clear, data-driven recommendations that optimize outcomes and demonstrate the value of Phreesia within omnichannel marketing strategies.

  • Partner across the organization. Collaborate closely with Client Experience, Client Solutions, Research, Insights & Analytics, Product, User Experience, and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

  • Shape the future of our platform. Develop deep expertise in Phreesia's patient-facing content tools, advocate for enhancements, and identify opportunities for innovation that improve content creation and patient experiences.

  • Design scalable innovation. Conceptualize pilot programs, evaluate new opportunities, and develop strategies to transform successful initiatives into scalable offerings.

  • Lead strategic collaboration. Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and presentations while building alignment across internal stakeholders and client teams.

  • Serve as an industry expert. Share expertise on healthcare content strategy, digital engagement platforms, healthcare technology trends, content management systems, and the evolving role of digital healthcare communications.

  • Understand the business of pharma. Bring a deep understanding of the U.S. pharmaceutical landscape, pharmaceutical marketing, and Established-vertical client priorities to every engagement.

What Makes You a Great Fit
You don't need to check every box - but this role will feel energizing if you:
  • Have deep knowledge of the U.S. pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical marketing.

  • Enjoy developing strategic, data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments and can build consensus across diverse stakeholders.

  • Have experience leading strategic relationships with major pharmaceutical organizations.

  • Excel at presenting ideas, facilitating discussions, and communicating with confidence across all levels of an organization.

  • Are naturally curious, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable navigating evolving priorities.

  • Enjoy identifying opportunities for innovation and bringing new ideas from concept to execution.

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and executive stakeholders alike.

We Do Have A Few Requirements to Check
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, MPP, or another relevant graduate degree is a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in creative strategy, content strategy, content development, population health, health education, health behavior, digital health technology, or a related field.

Where You'll Work
This is a remote position open to candidates located within the United States OR Canada in Eastern or Central timezone regions. Occasional travel is expected for team meetings, client visits, and company off sites.
Compensation & Rewards
  • Total Cash Compensation: Canada-based employees: $125,000-$150,000 CAD; U.S.-based employees: $125,000-$170,000 USD , inclusive of base salary and variable incentive. Actual compensation is based on qualifications and experience.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your whole life - not just your work.
