  Overview:
Lead Strategist to join the Office of the Chief Research & Insights Officer and EVP, Head of Programming for the TV Media Group at Paramount Global. This role will serve as a strategic partner and thought leader, supporting the senior executive who oversees quantitative and qualitative insights, content research, programming strategy, and the performance of Paramount's TV Media portfolio. This portfolio includes the leading broadcaster in CBS as well as top cable brands in MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and more, plus content and shows from these studios that drive Paramount+.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, operational excellence, and executive presence. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the division, perfect for someone passionate about shaping the future of television.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Research & Insights Officer and Head of Programming.
  • Provide thought leadership grounded in a deep understanding of content research, ratings, audience insights, competitive trends, and performance.
  • Synthesize complex data from numerous sources into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • Lead creation of C-suite-level presentations for TV Media and cross-company leadership.
  • Build analyses that inform programming strategy, content performance, and multiplatform trends.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities across the portfolio, including emerging genres, audience segments, cross-network synergies, platform behaviors, and new programming strategies.
  • Translate audience behavior into actionable creative direction for new and returning series development.
  • Oversee cross-functional initiatives and alignment across Research, Programming, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Distribution, Strategy, Development and other key partners.
  • Create organization systems and design templates that foster clarity, alignment, and operational excellence across the group.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performing culture.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, research, programming, insights, or related fields.
 
Additional Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of TV and streaming landscape, including Nielsen media measurement.
  • Ability to synthesize data into compelling narratives.
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Passion for content and the future of TV.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $4500 - $4800 Weekly. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
