Job description

JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 2900 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75075

DUTIES: Lead the design and development of large-scale, high-quality software applications that are scalable and maintainable. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create design specifications, estimate effort, and validate software solutions. Implement and enforce development methodologies using a variety of programming languages and tools. Develop and execute automated test strategies to ensure robust, reliable software aligned with business needs. Identify, design, and implement code fixes while validating outcomes and documenting results comprehensively. Drive comprehensive testing efforts including unit, integration, security, and user acceptance testing. Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot complex issues, and streamline deployment processes. Utilize NoSQL databases: DynamoDB and Cassandra. Utilize Spring Boot and Kafka/MQ frameworks. Utilize cloud services and cloud-native development. Implement, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQue and automated Quality Gates. Strengthen observability and operational maturity with Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK, and OpenTelemetry. Perform advanced performance engineering-profiling, tuning, capacity planning, and optimizing JVM, microservices, and databases (Oracle, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis) for low-latency, high-throughput workloads. Drive engineering excellence through hands-on code reviews, architecture reviews, and enforcing best practices in secure development, testing, automation, performance, observability, and compliance. Write high-quality, well-tested code with a relentless focus on automated testing, validation, and continuous delivery. Apply Security-First principles throughout the SDLC to reduce vulnerabilities and meet enterprise and regulatory standards. Build web applications using Java, Spring, and REST. Utilize Kafka, IBM MQ and Apache Flink.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing NoSQL databases: DynamoDB and Cassandra; utilizing Spring Boot and Kafka/MQ frameworks; utilizing cloud services and cloud-native development; implementing, maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQue and automated Quality Gates; utilizing Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK and OpenTelemetry; performing advanced performance engineering- profiling, tuning, capacity planning, and optimizing JVM, microservices and databases (Oracle, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis); building web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; and utilizing Kafka, IBM MQ and Apache Flink.
