Job Description:

We are seeking a Secret-cleared Lead, Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Jupiter, FL. This is an on-site position that requires a Secret clearance and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux systems administration, particularly with Red Hat, and be adept at maintaining system compliance with government regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Red Hat Linux Systems Administration Skills: Provide expert administration in a Red Hat Linux environment, ensuring optimal system performance, availability, and security. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux systems.  This position will support High Performance Compute Cluster capabilities.  
  • Experience with SCAP and STIG: Utilize the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to ensure systems are compliant with security policies and best practices. This involves running scans, applying necessary configurations, and documenting compliance status.
  • Knowledge of and Experience with Compliance to Government Regulations and Standards: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of and experience with adhering to government regulations and standards, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and Risk Management Framework (RMF). This includes performing security assessments, implementing risk management processes, and ensuring systems meet regulatory requirements.
  • DOD 8140 Certification: Possess a Department of Defense (DOD) 8140 certification, such as Security+, which validates the candidate's cybersecurity knowledge and skills. This certification is essential for meeting the DoD's mandates for information assurance and cybersecurity.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current/active US Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, with a focus on Red Hat Linux.
  • Strong understanding of SCAP, STIG, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and standards relating to IT and cybersecurity.
  • DOD 8140 Certification such as Security+.
  • High Performance Compute Cluster Skillset
  • Advanced certifications and training in Linux systems and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with automated deployment and management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
