| POSITION                                       Advanced Manufacturing IT & Operational Technology Instructor
| LOCATION                                     Advanced Manufacturing Center
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION             
We are seeking a forward-thinking Advanced Manufacturing IT & Operational Technology Instructor to join the team at our Advanced Manufacturing Center, where students prepare for integrated IT roles embedded within modern manufacturing environments.  This instructor will work with high school students in Grades 10 12.




This role is designed for a candidate who understands that the future of manufacturing is digitally driven, data-rich, and systems-integratedand who can help students build the technical fluency, problem-solving habits, and adaptive mindset required for the next generation of industrial work.

Throughout the program students will participate in a career-technical student organization such as SkillsUSA. 
| QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
    • Willingness & ability to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process AND
      • High school diploma AND at least 5 years of relevant work experience OR
      • Bachelors degree in a related area AND at least 2 years of relevant work experience OR
    • Holds a bachelor's degree AND holds a valid Ohio Resident Educator, Professional, Permanent or Five-Year Career-Technical teaching license in any field AND passes (or has passed) the OAE content-knowledge test for Business Education (008) AND willing to undergo a transcript review by Ohio State Board of Education to ensure appropriate grade level pedagogy course has been completed; OR
    • Current Ohio State Board of Education licensure in one of the following
      • Business Information Systems 140200
      • Electronics 171503
      • Integrated Business 140550
      • Technology Education 160610;
  • Experience, exposure, or a strong learning orientation in one or more of the following:
    • Industrial IT & Connected Manufacturing Systems: IT infrastructure supporting manufacturing environments, including networked production systems, shop-floor data integration, and familiarity with MES, ERP, or related operational systems;
    • Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) & Systems Integration: Sensors, device connectivity, edge computing concepts, and the integration of hardware, software, and data streams across physical and digital systems;
    • Automation & Operational Technology (OT): PLCs, robotics, automated systems, humanmachine interfaces (HMI), and understanding how IT infrastructure enables and supports industrial automation;
    • Industrial Cybersecurity, Data & Emerging Technologies: Securing operational technology environments, risk awareness in connected systems, data literacy and visualization, AI-assisted or predictive systems, and awareness of emerging technologies such as quantum computing as they relate to future industrial problem-solving;
  • Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
  • Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
  • Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
  • State-issued identification card with photograph;
  • History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
  • Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
