Job description

AWS Marketing is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Digital Strategist to join our Customer Experience (CX) team within the Integrated Demand Center (IDC). In this role, you will design end-to-end customer journeys that enable truly customer-centric marketing campaigns, helping AWS customers adopt and grow with our services. You'll lead the strategic vision for how we engage customers across their lifecycle, organizing marketing around customer needs rather than internal structures.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Journey Design & Strategy (Primary Focus)
• Design comprehensive customer journey frameworks across awareness, consideration, conversion, and loyalty stages for Integrated
Development Programs (IDPs)
• Lead cross-functional workshops with stakeholders to define journey requirements, success metrics, and customer touchpoints
• Develop next best action and next best content strategies that personalize customer experiences at scale
• Create customer-centric marketing strategies that align business objectives with customer needs at each funnel stage
• Define journey progression metrics and success criteria in partnership with CX analytics team
• Establish journey frameworks that enable scalable, reusable approaches across programs
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
• Partner with Customer Insights Leads to incorporate Voice of the Customer insights and AI-category-specific findings into journey design
• Collaborate with Journey Operators to ensure technical feasibility and successful AEP implementation
• Work closely with Technical Architecture & Analytics (TAA) and Analytics teams on data requirements and measurement frameworks
• Coordinate with Email Marketing Team (EMT), Web Channel team, and Marketing Platform Operations (MPO) on campaign execution
• Partner with CCTech team and sales demand generation teams to ensure seamless, integrated customer experiences
• Present journey strategies, frameworks, and results to leadership stakeholders
Strategic Planning & Optimization
• Develop shared foundations approach to increase efficiency and consistency across customer journeys
• Analyze customer journey performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Stay current on industry best practices in customer experience, personalization, and journey orchestration
• Contribute to the evolution of IDC's customer-centric marketing approach
• Mentor Journey Operators on strategic thinking and customer-centric design principles
About the team
You'll join a team of 25 marketers across four disciplines: Digital Strategists, Journey Architects, Customer Insights Leads, and AEP Cross-Discipline Leads. Our geographically distributed team spans NAMER, EMEA, LATAM, and APJ, working collaboratively to transform how AWS engages with customers through personalized, journey-based marketing. Formed in Q3 2025, our team drives a more customer-centric approach within the IDC, organizing marketing around customer needs at each stage of their journey with AWS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
