What You’ll Do

As our Chaplain, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate weekly worship experiences, including:
    • Sunday Vespers
    • Bible studies
    • Prayer services
    • Memorial and holiday services
  • Offer pastoral care through visitation and counseling across independent living, hospital, and supportive living settings
  • Welcome new Residents and help them connect to spiritual resources both on campus and in the local community
  • Support Residents and families through major life events and transitions with empathy and guidance
  • Facilitate conflict resolution with a compassionate, solution-oriented approach
  • Partner with Resident committees to plan meaningful spiritual programming
  • Contribute content to weekly communications to promote services and engagement
  • Collaborate with Nursing, Social Services, and Resident Life teams to provide holistic support
  • Build relationships by maintaining regular office hours and participating in community life
  • Continuously enhance spiritual programs and services through innovation and collaboration
  • Connect with fellow Willow Valley Chaplains and external peers to share best practices and grow professionally

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or university and/or Graduate of a Bible College or Seminary
  • Ordained to Ministry or in the process of being ordained
  • 2-3 years related pastoral experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills
  • A welcoming, inclusive approach to serving individuals of all beliefs
  • Comfort with technology and basic computer systems
