Job description

Overview

The Central Jersey Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center looking to hire a full time Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Established in the year 2002, the CJMC has a main location in Perth Amboy, NJ as well as 5 School Based Health Centers located in Newark, NJ.

Location of position is in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Responsibilities

Duties for this position include:

Essential Functions:

  • Completion of a biopsychosocial assessments
  • Knowledge of community resources and appropriate referrals
  • Experience with the DSM5 and ICD10 for psychiatric diagnosis
  • Social Work consultation for the primary care providers including but not limited to ongoing case discussion and evaluation focusing on clinical goals and treatment plans.
  • Psychotherapeutic counseling, including resolution of symptoms involving mental disorders, psycho social stress, relationship problems or difficulties coping with social environment.
  • Client centered advocacy to bring about or influence change and improve quality of life.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, from an accredited college or university;
  • Experience working with troubled children and families; individual and group psychotherapy for children and adults.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of youth and family counseling; working knowledge of human services system; ability to conduct and facilitate meetings; ability to maintain effective working relationship with other social service providers; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Experience with electronic medical records, email, work and excel preferred.
  • Preferably able to speak, read and write Spanish and English.
  • Must possess a NJ license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
