Job description

• Business problem being solved: ITOM Architect to owner CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Integrations, Data Quality, CSDM
• Primary role objective and key deliverables (first 90 days): 2 Months long with possible extension
The client is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Developer to design, build, and maintain a high-quality Configuration Management Database (CMDB) that underpins IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM). You will own CMDB data modeling, discovery, service mapping, integrations, and data quality/governance using ServiceNow best practices and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This role partners closely with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure the CMDB accurately reflects our technology estate and supports impactful use cases including incident, change, asset, event, observability, and risk.
• Team size and structure: Unknown
• Key stakeholders the role will work with: Unknown
Skills & Experience
• Top 3 Must-Have Skills (with minimum years in each): CMDB Architecture and Data Modeling (5 Years), CMDB alignment to CSDM (5 Years), Discovery / Service Mapping (5 Years)
• Specific tools, platforms, versions, or certifications required: Lansweeper Integration experience is a requirement from the client, CIS – Discovery (Preferred), CIS – Service Mapping (Preferred
The core focus is the LANSweeper integration to automate your physical device load into the CMDB (servers, laptops, desktops), with the added goal of automating software application data available through that integration. Application instances and business applications are already flowing in, so this closes the loop on the physical and software side. Best practices and broader CMDB guidance are welcome, but the LANSweeper integration is the must-have.
