Senior Software Engineer – AI-Native Platform (Redjack Integration)

Austin, TX (Hybrid, 2–3 days per week in office)

Context & Impact

Lansweeper is evolving its engineering organization toward an AI-native development model. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable systems while operating in an AI-augmented development environment.

In the near term, you will contribute to the Redjack integration team, ensuring system quality, architectural clarity, and scalable design as multiple AI‑assisted development streams run in parallel. Longer term, you will help shape how AI-native engineering practices scale across the platform.

AI Fluency

At Lansweeper, we are building an AI-native engineering culture. We expect all engineers to actively use AI tools to enhance productivity and quality across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, documentation, and system design. Candidates should be comfortable working with AI-assisted workflows and continuously evolving their approach as tools and practices advance.

Challenge

The main challenges you'll face are:

  • Maintaining engineering rigor and system quality in an AI-assisted development environment
  • Scaling systems while balancing performance, reliability, and architectural clarity
  • Coordinating parallel AI-driven development workflows without losing technical coherence
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build maintainable, scalable, observable, and well‑tested software systems
  • Operate in an AI‑augmented development workflow, decomposing problems and validating AI-generated outputs
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, long-term system evolution, and technical direction
  • Apply strong system thinking across data models, APIs, distributed systems, and service boundaries
  • Produce clear technical documentation, structured prompts, and design proposals
  • Mentor peers and collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams
Key Requirements Hard Skills
  • 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals including testing, version control, CI/CD, and code review
  • Proven experience in C, C++, or Rust
  • Experience building backend systems or distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, APIs, and service‑oriented architectures
  • Experience designing scalable and reliable systems
  • Practical experience working in an AI-assisted development environment
  • Experience with SQL
