Job description

Job Description FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Profile Scripting Language (PSL): Software Engineer Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to work with stable banking technology to build innovative FinTech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. Develop Profile Core versions of software applications and identify client requirements and technical specifications. Interact with engineering groups and will train clients on applications. Design, program, debug and modify software enhancements in the Profile Core Product.

Interact with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications. Participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements. Work with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams. Evaluates systems specifications for complex business requirements, develops and prepares computer-based solutions. Analyzes problems in terms of detailed equipment requirements and capabilities, including those related to scalable applications, and cloud-based resources. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs. Receives general supervision and is competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of software engineering while working on own or in a team environment most of the time. May be involved in providing assistance and training to lower-level software engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelorโ€™s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: working with MUMPs language programming for enhancing (Profile) Core Banking solution; utilizing Profile Scripting Language (PSL) programming including Python and JavaScript; working in financial services industry with a focus on retail banking; utilizing end-to-end systems development life cycles including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development; utilizing and implementing US banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business; performing solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, and use cases. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
