The company is recognized for quality designs, strong customer service, and timely project completion. GCED prioritizes state-of-the-art, cost-effective, and code-compliant electrical solutions tailored to client needs. Its customers include architects, owners, general contractors, and electrical contractors throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Role Description The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing electrical system designs and documentation for commercial, residential, and specialty projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing load calculations, panel schedules, power distribution layouts, lighting plans, and one-line diagrams, as well as coordinating with project managers, architects, and contractors to refine design requirements and resolve technical issues. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, performing site visits when needed, and supporting project timelines from concept through construction. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Clearwater, FL, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles, including electricity fundamentals and applicable codes and standards.
