Job description

Irrigation Operations Manager
Seasonal Services is a growing landscape company with over 30 years of experience serving Southeastern Wisconsin. We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Operations Manager to lead our irrigation department and support its continued growth and success.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working with both people and irrigation systems. The Irrigation Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day service and installation operations while providing technical support, leadership, training, and guidance to the irrigation team. This individual will work closely with technicians in the field, assist with troubleshooting and complex repairs, ensure quality workmanship, and help create an exceptional experience for our clients.
The ideal candidate has strong irrigation knowledge, experience leading teams, and a passion for developing people and improving operations. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of an established department, make meaningful improvements, and help shape its future.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, support, and develop irrigation technicians and field team members
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to improve technical skills and service quality
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing new team members
  • Promote safety and best practices throughout the department
Operations Management
  • Oversee daily irrigation operations, including startups, winterizations, service work, repairs, and installations
  • Coordinate and support scheduling to ensure efficient service delivery and productive use of resources
  • Monitor department workflow and adjust priorities as needed
  • Collaborate with office staff and leadership to ensure smooth operations and communication
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and overall department performance
Technical Support & Quality Control
  • Provide hands-on field support for technicians on service calls and installation projects
  • Troubleshoot complex irrigation system issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and industry best practices
  • Conduct site visits and quality control reviews as needed
  • Serve as the department's technical resource for irrigation systems, controllers, repairs, and installations
Customer Service & Communication
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding repairs, recommendations, scheduling, and project updates
  • Assist in developing repair recommendations and system improvement opportunities
  • Help resolve client concerns and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through exceptional service and communication
Administrative & Department Support
  • Review and assist with service recommendations, proposals, and work orders
  • Support reporting, billing review, and invoice accuracy
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and inventory needs
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to irrigation services
  • Assist leadership with planning and ongoing department improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of irrigation industry experience
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and installation practices
  • Ability to lead by example and work alongside team members in the field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with technology and software systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with high-end residential irrigation systems preferred
