Job description

Superintendent - Operations, Monitoring, and Maintenance (OM&M)


At Essel, we lead the way in providing innovative AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) services dedicated to sustainable solutions. Join us as a Superintendent in our Operations, Monitoring, and Maintenance team, overseeing daily landfill site activities, ensuring project alignment with scope, schedule, workforce, and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Supervise daily landfill site activities, aligning with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate onsite team members, including Laborers, Equipment Operators, Field Technicians, Foremen, and Fusion Technicians.
  • Client Communication: Maintain close communication with clients, providing updates on work completion and implementing directed tasks.
  • Logistics Management: Set up accounts with local suppliers, plan crew schedules, and oversee equipment procurement and usage.
  • Personnel Management: Interview, hire, and manage personnel as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform mechanical work, analyze problems, interpret plans and schematics, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Health and Safety: Participate in monthly safety meetings and ensure adherence to Health and Safety protocols.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in Field Landfill Gas OM&M.
  • Training: 40-hour Health and Safety, OSHA certifications, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training.
  • Technical Skills: Mechanical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, interpretation of manuals and schematics, and regulatory knowledge.
  • License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
