About the Organization

The Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) is one of the nation's largest physician membership organizations, representing more than 7,100 physicians, residents, medical students, retirees, and healthcare leaders across one of the country's most dynamic healthcare markets. Affiliated with the California Medical Association (CMA), LACMA serves as the trusted voice of organized medicine in Los Angeles County, strengthening the practice of medicine, advocating for physicians and patients, and improving healthcare across the region.

The Opportunity

The Los Angeles County Medical Association seeks a dynamic, externally focused Chief Executive Officer to build upon the organization's strong momentum and lead its next phase of growth. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for expanding LACMA's membership, strengthening its value proposition, cultivating strategic partnerships, advancing physician advocacy and healthcare policy, and elevating the organization's influence across Los Angeles County's healthcare ecosystem. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will combine entrepreneurial drive with exceptional relationship-building skills to ensure LACMA remains an indispensable resource for physicians and the leading voice of organized medicine in the region. Building upon a decade of organizational momentum, the next CEO will have the opportunity to expand LACMA's impact, strengthen physician engagement, and position the Association for its next generation of leadership and influence.

Location, Compensation and Benefits

This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, California, with an expectation of approximately three days per week in the office and two days working remotely. Given the highly external nature of the role, the CEO will spend significant time meeting with physicians, healthcare leaders, policymakers, partners, and community stakeholders throughout Los Angeles County.

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000, commensurate with experience, and is complemented by an annual merit-based performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
