Job description

We are looking for a motivated individual that enjoys the challenges of being involved in new product / new process development. The person filling this position will work with a team to develop an understanding of the needs and requirement for new system applications and then delivering a solution satisfying those requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Work with team to design new systems for production / lab use.
  • Generate system documentation to define the design of the system, including bills of materials, electrical schematics, layout drawings, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Procure components and materials for new systems.
  • Construct new systems and lead the installation of the systems in their final designated area.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and deployment of new systems.
  • Train staff on the utilization and support / maintenance of new systems.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with electrical control systems, metering equipment, and electrical circuits
  • Ability to read and generate electrical schematics and facility drawings
  • Computer skills including CAD, spreadsheets, and word processing

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Programming experience (PLC's, Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks
