Primary Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated individual to work as part of our operational excellence team as a test engineer responsible for the test equipment in a given assembly area. This will involve providing support to manufacturing in test failure analysis and test process improvements including equipment hardware and software enhancements. Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitor and report on the performance of test equipment for a given Business Unit
  • Train assembly and technical support staff on troubleshooting product issues and root cause evaluation
  • Implement changes to equipment hardware and software to realize improvements in efficiency, coverage, or to respond to product design evolution
  • Review test coverage to ensure product quality requirements are adhered to
  • Participate in Business Unit team activities (meetings, problem solving exercises, line support issues, management updates)
  • Develop and refine procedures for calibration checks, adjustments, and preventive maintenance work on various test equipment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (in an engineering field)
  • 4+ years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with control systems or functional test systems
  • Electrical circuits and system knowledge
  • Good facilitation and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree in either Electrical Engineering with strong Mechanical background or Mechanical Engineering with strong Electrical background
  • Demonstrated programming experience (LabVIEW, Python, Visual Basic, C++, PLC)
  • PLC / Controls experience
  • Project management and leadership experience
