Laborer:
Apex Underground is looking for a hardworking and reliable Laborer to join our team and support our excavation, construction, and utility projects. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that job sites are safe, organized, and ready for efficient operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, can follow directions accurately, and is eager to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Your Regular Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation and Cleanup: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project.
  • Assist with Excavation and Trenching: Use hand tools like shovels, picks, and rakes to assist with digging and trenching activities. Work alongside heavy equipment operators to ensure proper excavation depth and alignment.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload materials, such as pipes, gravel, and construction supplies, and transport them to the appropriate locations on the job site.
  • Support Pipe Installation: Assist pipelayers and other crew members with aligning and installing pipes, holding pipes in place during installation, and ensuring proper sealing and joint alignment.
  • Basic Equipment Operation: Safely operate small tools and equipment such as jackhammers, compactors, and pressure washers as directed by supervisors.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the site supervisor immediately.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support various tasks around the job site as needed, ensuring the smooth progress of the project.

Your Team for Collaboration amp; Support
You will report to the Crew Lead or Foreman and work closely with equipment operators, pipelayers, and other laborers to ensure that job sites are prepared and tasks are completed efficiently.
