This role supports the Machine and Sheet Metal Department by operating equipment, inspecting parts for quality, and assisting with basic production tasks. You work hands-on with materials and tools, verify measurements, and help ensure that all parts meet required specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Operate machines in the Machine and Sheet Metal Department in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Inspect parts coming off machines for quality, accuracy, and proper measurements.
• Use a tape measure to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required specifications.
• Work with basic hand and power tools as needed to complete production tasks.
• Handle and move materials and parts safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Perform overtime work and occasional Saturday morning shifts when required to meet production needs.

• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
• Comfort working with basic hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail when inspecting parts for quality and measurements.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

• Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
• Prior experience with hand and power tools is preferred.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train in different areas of the department.

This position is based in a manufacturing facility within the Machine and Sheet Metal Department. The standard schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some overtime and occasional Saturday mornings when needed. The work is hands-on and may involve standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using machines, hand tools, and power tools in a production environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon, AL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
