Job description

Job Summary:The Lead Medical Assistant collaborates with the Administrator in an office setting toensure quality patient care.Essential Job Functions: Under the direction and supervision of the Administrator provides a leadershiprole amongst the medical assistants Monitors patient flow Manages maintenance of equipment Set up and pull reports on Bardy dx patients. Ensure HIPPA guidelines are always followed. Oversees and coordinates the MA tasks in the clinical department

Monitor the performance of the department. Maintains and implements all policies and procedures set in place. Ensure quality measures assigned are met for each patient Referral/Radiology tracking for assigned provider Willing to take on additional tasks/work while continuing to manage daily workflow Assist the Administrator with any and all tasks related to the MAs as needed.

Training for onboarding staff. Provide guidance to staff members; including changes in policies and proceduresimplemented. Direct, supervise, and coach clinical staff.

Work closely with MAs to understandneeds and resolve issues. Lead daily prioritization of provider's appointment day sheets and patient'sneeds. Close out all patient laboratory insurance claims/issues withSunrise/Quest/LabCorp/Toplab.

Communication/Relationship with laboratory representatives to ensure officesupply needs, patient lab processing, coding, and billing issues. Liaison for communication with the Practice Administrator for needs andconcerns. Vaccine inventory within Powerchart and refrigerator.

Provide Clinical Supply orders and oversee the receipt of shipping and inventory. Log sheet maintained for Multi-vial dosage injections, exam rooms, crash cartmedications, Sample medications, AED, Eyewash station, Refrigerator, and Freezer. Performs other related duties, which may be inclusive, but not listed in the job description.
