Position Overview:
The Laboratory Administrator is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a services laboratory, including sample intake, test kit logistics, inventory, and customer coordination. This role ensures accurate tracking and communication from sample receipt through reporting.
This position is based at our Cincinnati, OH facility and will require fully on-site working Monday-Friday.
Core Responsibilities
  • Test Kit & Sample Logistics: Coordinate shipment and receipt of test kits; track shipments; coordinate with couriers and customs; receive, open, and verify shipments
  • Sample Management & Documentation: Handle shipment, organize, label and store tested samples. Log samples; verify completeness; follow up on missing information; maintain traceability
  • Inventory Management: Manage test kits, lab consumables, and supplies; monitor stock and replenish
  • Lab Coordination: Coordinate workflow and sample routing; track progress and resolve delays
  • Coordination: Communicate with customers; handle inquiries; share results and resolve issues.
  • Data Accuracy & Process: Maintain accurate records; support process standardization

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in lab science or related field
  • Experience: 2-5 years in lab operations or coordination
  • Technical Skills: Excel; exposure to LIMS/ERP preferred
  • Collaboration: Work with R&D team, procurement, logistics, courier service providers and customers
  • Soft Skills: Organization, communication, attention to detail
