Job Title

Allied Health Professional

Duties

The duties include:

  • Serving as proxy for the Laboratory Manager during his/her absence.
  • Exercising a full range of supervisory responsibilities in planning, directing, and assessing work of subordinate staff. Recommending appointments, awards, advancement, and disciplinary actions.
  • Adjusting staffing levels or work procedures to accommodate resource allocation decisions made at the executive level.
  • Developing performance standards, position descriptions, and functional statements and being responsible for technical and administrative management of an assigned area including budget execution.
  • Serving as an alternate Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with responsibility for several PLMS contracts. Providing assistance with P&LMS budgetary functions, resource usage, inventory, acquisition, and other contracting processes.
  • Serving as P&LMS liaison to affiliated universities, colleges, and cooperating consortiums (i.e., coordinating student rotations, providing assistance with establishing and maintaining affiliation agreements, and serving on advisory committees).
  • Serving as P&LMS site administrator for employee training and document control platforms.
  • Interacting with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with accreditation agencies and regulatory requirements; providing assistance with process improvement activities and the overall quality management program.
  • Maintaining effective interdisciplinary and interprofessional relations with other services to accomplish medical center goals.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
