Job Duration: 6 Months


Job Description : 


This position will be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex business & data requirements. Prepare detailed functional specifications that drive the design of data model and ETL solutions for data warehouse. This includes developing a broad understanding of the upstream and downstream systems and processes, including impact and gap analysis of current databases and reporting systems. It will perform data analysis using a variety of SQL tools to query major databases and provide technical assistance as subject matter expert in identifying, evaluating and developing data solutions that meet business requirements. Helps with data validation and testing approach, systems testing, and provides post production support to the data quality processes. Provide training, resolve questions, and give direction to less experienced staff.




Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Significant experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 
  • Ability to translate business processes and gaps into technical flow and requirements 
  • Strong data analysis skills 
  • Strong SQL skills 
  • Experience with large database such as Oracle and/or DB2 
  • Understanding of Unix, proficiency is a plus 
  • Strong understanding of ETL process for databases 
  • Experience in testing and data validation 
  • Good understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures 
  • Understanding of database design / data modeling 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Experience with presentation and facilitation 
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Skills 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Preferred Experience in Financial Services industry
