Position Purpose:
The Labor Data Analyst will leverage technical experience and competencies to analyze complex datasets to uncover operational insights, predictive outcomes and actions based on analysis of labor data. This role will collaborate to promote and support analytically-driven decisions across the store labor teams leveraging technical skills to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% - Develop dashboards, reports, data sources, presentations and visual aids designed to educate and influence labor decisions for client groups and business leaders - Create reporting through the use of visual aids and presentations. Develop Dashboards and reporting for leader and client decision making. Provide Data sources to inform and educate clients and business leaders.
  • 40% - Provide complex analysis of hourly payroll and related business data and processes - Identify trends and determine root cause of labor issues utilizing data sources, reporting, dashboards to provide insights to client groups and business leaders. Determine root cause of problems and provide solutions to drive effective business decisions. Execute moderately complex analysis of hourly payroll trends.
  • 20% - Support existing analytical tools and dashboards for process improvement - Identify improvement opportunities to simplify processes, reduce issues and provide value to client groups and leaders. Continually develop technical competencies and subject matter expertise.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
  • Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop and apply advanced mathematical/statistical techniques
  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
  • Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic experience in SQL/Big Query SQL, and/or similar tools with a demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills.
