Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Labeling Certifications, you will support food labeling, certification, and packaging compliance activities across the organization. You will partner with Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Marketing, Product Development, Legal, Government Affairs, and Brand Design teams to help ensure product labels, certifications, and packaging claims meet regulatory requirements and company standards. You will build expertise in food labeling, certifications, and regulatory affairs while supporting the commercialization of innovative food products.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Review product labels, packaging artwork, and marketing claims to help ensure compliance with Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, and company requirements.
  • Develop and maintain mandatory labeling information, including ingredient statements, allergen declarations, Nutrition Facts panels, product names, net weight statements, and required claims.
  • Support certification programs including Kosher, Halal, Organic, Non-GMO, and other applicable certifications.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Legal, Government Affairs, Marketing, Product Development, and Brand Design teams to address labeling and compliance questions.
  • Assist with United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service label submissions, approvals, extensions, and export-related labeling requirements.
  • Review packaging artwork and change requests to ensure regulatory and internal compliance standards are met.
  • Research and respond to labeling, certification, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for labeling systems, processes, workflows, and tools.
  • Monitor changes in food labeling regulations, industry trends, and emerging compliance requirements.

Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree required; Food Science, Nutrition, Food Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in food labeling, regulatory affairs, quality, product development, nutrition, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration and United States Department of Agriculture food labeling requirements gained through education, internship, co-op, or professional experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with food labeling, ingredient statements, allergen labeling, Nutrition Facts panels, packaging claims, label review processes, or certification programs such as Kosher, Halal, Organic, or Non-GMO preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory databases, product lifecycle management systems, or related compliance tools preferred.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
