Job Description
Summary
The Sales Representative is a full-time, onsite position based in Ventura, California, Monday through Friday, with a base salary of $50,000-$100,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on sales. While the position is based in Ventura, Sales Representatives may work with customers throughout the United States.
The role is responsible for developing new business and growing customer relationships by prospecting, qualifying, and establishing new accounts for Edwards Label printing and packaging services. Sales Representatives are expected to actively develop their own customer base through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, customer visits, and other business development activities.
Previous printing, packaging, or professional sales experience is not required. Edwards Label will provide product and sales training for individuals who demonstrate strong motivation, communication skills, coachability, initiative, and a willingness to actively pursue new customers.
Candidates must be able to work onsite in Ventura, California. Candidates who are not currently local are welcome to apply if they are willing to relocate and can meet the onsite requirement by their start date.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, customer visits, and other business development activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, consumer brands, and other prospective customers.
  • Learn about each customer's products, needs, and challenges to recommend the right label and packaging solutions.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals, negotiate opportunities, and close sales.
  • Grow existing customer accounts by identifying additional opportunities and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Use our CRM to track prospects, follow-ups, opportunities, and sales activity.
  • Collaborate with estimating, Sales Support, production, and other internal teams to move customer projects from opportunity through order.
  • Continue developing your product knowledge and sales skills through training and hands-on experience.
  • Represent Edwards Label at customer meetings, trade shows, networking events, and other business development activities as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite in Ventura, California, Monday through Friday
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to actively prospect for new business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, customer visits, and other sales activities
  • Motivated to learn Edwards Label products, sales processes, and CRM tools
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable working toward sales goals

Preferred, but Not Required
  • Previous sales, business development, retail, hospitality, customer service, or other customer-facing experience
  • Experience developing new business or building customer relationships
  • B2B sales experience
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Printing, packaging, manufacturing, or related industry experience
