Lab Systems Engineer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
BI&A is seeking a Lab System Engineer who designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle using a holistic engineering approach. Ensures system requirements comply with client specifications and government standards while coordinating cross-functional engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • 6 Years of experience in Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Experience with requirements management and verification processes
  • Knowledge of government standards and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools and documentation practices
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work

Desired Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, Oracle Solaris Administrator, IBM AIX Administrator)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
