Throughout the day, you receive and process specimens delivered via pneumatic tube, couriers, or in-person drop-offs, carefully checking labeling and handling requirements. You enter and manage orders in the electronic health record, audit information for accuracy, and address any discrepancies to keep the lab running efficiently.

You serve as an important communication hub—answering phone calls, assisting providers and staff with lab requests, and distributing test results accurately and promptly. Whether coordinating add-on orders or directing inquiries to the right team member, you help ensure seamless patient care.

In addition to administrative and processing duties, you assist with internal logistics such as delivering specimens, distributing reports, and maintaining workflow between departments and clinical teams.

Collaboration is key. You work closely with lab staff, nurses, providers, and support teams—maintaining a professional, positive approach even in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
