JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Lab Assistant assists faculty and lab assistant with classroom/lab setups.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist faculty and lab assistant with classroom/lab setups.
  • When need, contact suppliers and order class supplies and materials per instructor requests
  • Assist Lab Assistant on any essentials job duties that is needed to prepare instructional lab.
  • Assist faculty and students in evening classes for parts, materials, supplies.
  • Cleans equipment and shop area and maintains a safe environment throughout show area.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Manages cash sales and maintains accurate records of all transactions.
  • Knowledge of Automotive Collision Repair sufficient to perform essential functions of position.
  • Ability to communicate with faculty members, students, and/or customers in a courteous professional manner.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use college-supported computer software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GEDplus one (1) year of documented work experience.
  • Valid driver's license necessary for routine collection and delivery of parts, supplies and materials
