Responsible for processing and distributing of patient specimens for lab testing adhering to department standard operating procedures. May analyze, evaluate, and report patient results. May collect and transport patient specimens. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment, represent the lab in a professional manner, and provide excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills required.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in clinical laboratory medicine preferred.
Direct patient care experience or completion of Phlebotomy course or Phlebotomy experience preferred (dependent on area of responsibility).
Post-secondary education in a laboratory or health-related field preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Computer experience preferred.
Attention to detail preferred.
Ability to multitask preferred.
PBT (ASCP) depending on area of responsibility preferred.
