This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), EMT, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or other healthcare professional looking to leverage their clinical skills in a rewarding higher education environment.

What You'll Do:

Under general supervision from the Nursing Lab Manager, the Nursing Lab Specialist will play a vital role in supporting student academic success by preparing, assisting, and resetting lab sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with Nursing Lab Manager and faculty to coordinate instructional lab sessions.
  • Support the Nursing Lab Manager and faculty in purchasing, organizing, and re-stocking the nursing lab supplies.
  • Coordinate updates, service, and replacement of nursing lab equipment as required.
  • Set up simulation and skills labs to facilitate effective academic sessions.
  • Control the simulator (Hi-Fidelity Mannequin) for various clinical scenarios in accordance with the faculty specifications.
  • Operate the patient simulator, camera, and debrief system for the duration of a simulation while troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions.
  • Deliver a theatrical production of scenarios to students in accordance with the academic plan, acting as a simulated patient when required by the scenario.
  • Adhere to standards and safety protocols in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
