Position Summary
Responsible for daily administrative operation of all Media Lab locations (Media Lab and Annex); facilitates media and creative projects for students, faculty and staff; supervises student assistants and performs general clerical duties.
Role Qualifications:
  • Strong ability to create good will with staff, faculty, and students; servant attitude.
  • Detail oriented; Customer service focused.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Commitment to the Articles of Faith, Mission, and Objectives of the University; and desires to be a role model for students by demonstrating an active Christian faith in personal example and in work related responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Set goals and objectives and accomplish them without need for frequent follow up.
  • Design and foster an inviting, creative culture and quality service environment within the Learning Resource Center Media Lab and Wingate Visual Arts East Media Lab Annex.
  • Coordinate daily operation of the Media Lab and Annex, including ordering and stocking supplies, facilitating maintenance of equipment, and scheduling student employee hours.
  • Assist students, faculty, and staff with various projects, printing, or other requests.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and accountability for student assistants, enabling and equipping them to provide quality and timely service to all constituents.
  • Manage technology and supply inventory, including print center, paper, and other supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • General office and media technology experience with printing equipment and computers.
  • Ability to manage a large student staff with fluid schedules.
  • Organizational skills, use of productivity software, ability to operate various media technology equipment, creative skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, audio, and video software tools for design and editing.
Education:
College degree and supervisory experience preferred.
Reporting to this position:
Work-study staff and part-time student assistants
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
